Your Way

Written when my daughter was "graduating" from the elementary school we loved and moving to Middle School in our town.
Verse 1:
Change can be hard
When you’re saying goodbye
To the ways that you’ve known
To friends at your side
But change reveals parts of you you don’t yet know
Like flowers that bloom from seeds that you sew
Chorus:
So trust in the future, cherish the past
Rejoice in the present even though it doesn’t last
Know in your heart, everything’s gonna be OK
And the people who love you
Will help you find your way
Verse 2:
So believe in yourself,
Be wise and be strong
You’re gonna do fine
And soon you’ll belong
To the world that awaits you that you don’t know yet
And the world that you’re leaving you’ll never forget
Bridge:
Its easy to feel that you’re losing it all
You kinda feel lost and you kinda feel small
But there’s so much you’ve gained in the time you’ve been here
The friendships you have
And the memories you’ve made
Will last through all the coming years
Chorus:
So trust in the future, cherish the past
Rejoice in the present even though it doesn’t last
Know in your heart, everything’s gonna be OK
And the people who love you
Will help you find your way
