Wonder and Believe

One of the many songs I've written for my daughter - this when she was 6 or 7.
I’ve seen the stars burning so high
Form figures of light in the sky
The one’s the ancients held so dear.
I’ve watched the rain fall to the earth
Nourish life, giving it birth,
Sustaining all that we revere.
I’ll teach my children nature’s way
The rhythm of the night and day
The music of the seasons
How all things have their reasons
We don’t always understand
The miracle that’s in our hands
The mysteries of life lead us to Wonder and Believe
Wonder and Believe
Wonder and Believe
And love.
I’ve seen the snow settle in trees
Bring autumn to it’s knees
It’s silence chilling every bud.
I’ve stood beneath the summer skies
Sun radiating like sighs
And felt the waves pound in my blood.
I’ll teach my children nature’s way
The rhythm of the night and day
The music of the seasons
How all things have their reasons
We don’t always understand
The miracle that’s in our hands
The mysteries of life lead us to Wonder and Believe
Wonder and Believe
Wonder and Believe
And love.
